My Success Story for LiveMore WeighLess:
I have been on a diet for 25 years and in body jail my whole life.
I quit dance class when I was 6 years old because I felt self-conscious wearing a leotard. I quit swim lessons in grade nine because I hated wearing a bathing suit. I went on my first diet when I was 12 and lost 20 pounds. And regardless, I was embarrassed and ashamed of my body and always felt fat (even at 105 pounds in high school).
But all of this has changed since meeting Sarah earlier this year. The moment I stumbled across Live More Weigh Less I was enchanted. Sarah’s talent, messaging and skills were exactly what I needed to get out of this tortuous relationship with food and my body.
In a very short period of time I redefined my relationship with my feminine curves. By working with Sarah I finally found the courage to give myself permission to be feminine and to embrace the body I have been given.
My first step was to get out of my black Lululemon uniform and buy a gorgeous wardrobe – I found the perfect boutique with amazing saleswomen who selected outfits that looked beautiful on me. That step alone transformed the way I interacted with the world, my confidence and my view of my body. Never in a million years did I think I could feel that way. I felt beautiful and fabulous. My husband even admitted that every penny spent was worth it to see my radiance and confidence.
I also finally got the courage to ditch the scale. I was so attached to that number that didn’t truly reflect my state of health and well-being and instead regularly sent me on an emotional rollercoaster ride.
Sarah teaches specific habits that are easy to incorporate into my day. As a Soul Shaker coach and yoga teacher, living life with consciousness is very important to me. So bringing consciousness to how I eat, what I eat and why was a necessary next step in my evolution.
This process is not necessarily easy for me and this is why the Live More Weigh Less community is so, so special. I have met a group of other wonderful like-minded women who are also ready to take the next step in their journey. They are so supportive and encouraging. This group, along with Sarah’s coaching calls has been a key ingredient to my success.
Because I have shifted my focus from dieting and depravation to really living a full, fun and pleasurable life, I have more time to focus on what is truly important to me. Being present with my kids and husband, having fun (dancing and hanging with my ladies) and building a business that I love.
In fact, since working with Sarah and joining Live More Weigh Less Mastery, I have launched my coaching practice and have done so TWO months ahead of my initial goal! Part of my mission is to help women shine in their lives even when chaos hits – you know, like when you have that moment of clean laundry waiting to be folded, dishes piled up on the counter, your kids melting down as your hubby waves goodbye to go out with his buddies and you’ve just stepped on a lego piece? Well the circumstances may not change, but the way you move through it certainly can shift and can be handled with grace and with ease!
So now, I can fully move into my career with confidence and my life is much more fun, much more pleasurable and I feel so at ease in this beautiful body I have been given.
I didn’t think feeling this good in my body would ever be possible for me. I never thought I would wear a bathing suit again with confidence or dance on a stage. But I have done both since LMWL! I feel so much joy and freedom in my life and I am so so grateful for making myself a priority and investing in my well-being and happiness.
